Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby & Wigston visited reopened shopping parades across the Borough on Saturday 1st August, the first day after the local lockdown restrictions were lifted for Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston.

Neil said, "It was good to see some of the businesses open that had previously been forced to close their doors. I know how difficult this period has been for them, and am pleased the Treasury have agreed to my request for additional financial support.

There was some confusion over the exact date the local lockdown would be lifted so understandably not all were able to open at short notice, but I hope they'll soon be open and serving customers again."
